M28* - P35 - P30 - TA15/EM53HT**

* M28 was a converted bread truck, originally owned by the Pittsford F.D.

**TA15 was a 1954 tanker, designated as EM53HT after the tank was removed and the truck was used as a hose tender.  It carried 2000' of 2 1/2" cotton jacketed hose with brass couplings.

BBFD Fleet as is looked in July 1964

* Original apparatus numbers were changed, on a County level, during the mid to late 1970's.  The current numbering system reflects the Monroe County Battalion, Department, and type of apparatus.   The 1st number indicates the Battalion, the 2nd indicates the Department and the 3rd indicates the type of apparatus.  In the case of a department using a four(4) number system, the 3rd number becomes the station assignment and the 4th number the apparatus type.

Bushnell's Basin is dispatched on Channel 5 by the Monroe County Emergency Communications Department.  The E.C.D. or 911 Center is located on East Main Street in the City of Rochester.  Recently accredited, the E.C.D. is responsible for dispatching Fire, Police and EMS.  Operating a complete Enhanced 911 System, the center is staffed by career telecommunications operators and dispatchers.

Following the initial dispatch, Bushnell's Basin responds on Channel 3, unless that channel has been secured for another incident.   The Channel 3 response is designed to allow uninterrupted dispatching on Channel 5.   The majority of departments in Monroe County respond on their respective working channel, whenever possible.
