Bushnell’s Basin Fire Association is recognized by our

  • To acquire and own fire and emergency apparatus of any kind or nature for use in the protection of persons and property from injury, loss, damage or destruction by fire or other perils.
  • To provide suitable quarters for the use of the members of the organization in connection with the housing of fire or emergency apparatus for a place of meeting for the members of the organization and for the social and recreational use of such members.
  • To provide fire protection and emergency services to the territory in which the operations of the organization are principally conducted and to the territory protected by the Mutual Aid System.
  • To foster interest in all matters of the Volunteer Fire Service and in the welfare of volunteer firefighters.
  • To inculcate love of country, good citizenship, civic virtue and self-sacrifice, and to perpetuate the spirit which from the earliest days has actuated volunteer firefighters in the rendition of service of the highest type in the protection of life from fire and other perils without hope of fee or reward. 1

In a way that

  • Accomplishes our mission through prevention, education, fire suppression, medical services, code enforcement, rescue skills, and other related emergency and non-emergency activities.
  • Demonstrates active participation in our community, serves as a role model, and strives to effectively and efficiently utilize all of the necessary resources at our command to provide a product deemed excellent by  our citizens.
  • Embraces our Five Core Values and Principles, which demonstrates our belief that our greatest and most  valuable resource is the membership within our organization.
  • Promotes proactive involvement with Town, State and Federal agencies to advance the initiatives for strong leadership.
  • Continuously strive to improve the safety and the well being of the residents of the Town of Perinton
