It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sudden death of Fire Police Captain Mark Grimm.
Mark's membership spanned over twenty five years, beginning as a Firefighter and then Fire Police Officer. At the time of his death, Mark was the Captain of the Fire Police.
His warm smile and genuine friendship will be dearly missed. To his wife Ann, son Mark, daughters Monica and Michelle and his entire family, you will be forever in our hearts. 12/02/2004 |

Past Chief Frederick Fazar |

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Past Chief Fred Fazar. He faithfully served as Chief of the Bushnell's Basin Fire Department from January 1, 1966 until December 31, 1967. Fred was also a founding member of the Bushnell's Basin Fire Association Exempts. His friendship and efforts on behalf of the Department and the Exempts will be greatly missed. To his wife Jane and the entire Fazar family, you will be forever in our hearts. |

All Whom These Presence Shall Come, Greetings, Whereas, unconscionable acts of terrorism were perpetrated upon our nation on September
Eleventh, Two Thousand and One and, Whereas, these attacks required an massive response by Emergency Services in both Washington
D.C. and New York City and, Whereas, our Brothers and Sisters did Bravely, Faithfully and without concern for their personal
safety perform their duties to protect and serve and, Whereas, during operations at the World Trade Center, many of our Brothers and Sisters of the New
York Fire and Police Departments and EMS responders gave the ultimate
sacrifice and, Whereas, our Brothers and Sisters continue to display courage and resolve during the rescue
and recovery operations. Be it now resolved that the Officers and Members of the Bushnell's Basin Fire Association, Incorporated extend to the FDNY, NYPD and NYEMS families, our love, support and heart
felt sympathy for their losses. We Will Never Forget . . . . . God Bless America |

Madeline F. Hallings |
|
Faithfully served the Bushnell's Basin Fire Department as a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for a period of 46 years and was active until her untimely death on April 26, 2000. Madeline's service included several terms as President of the Ladies Auxiliary and she was also the wife of a Firefighter, the late Irving H. Hallings, Sr. ( "John" ) Her efforts on behalf of the Department and the Auxiliary will be greatly missed. To her children and entire family, you will be forever in our hearts. |

Robert H. Snider |
|
Faithfully served the Bushnell's Basin Fire Department from January 6, 1987 until his death on December 4, 1999. Bob also served the Southampton Fire Department from 1948 until 1965. His friendship and efforts on behalf of the Department and the Fire Service will be greatly missed. To his wife Janet, sons John and Douglas, and daughter Barbara, you will be forever in our hearts. |

Memorial plaques have been hung at Station #1 honoring those who have given extra-ordinary service to our Department.
